#7 technology

Broken Computer

Sometimes I think technology has taken on a life of its own.

I hated computers when I was at uni about 10 years ago and remember the semester we started to put our tutorial preferences in using the new computer system - and of course, it crashed. So they made us do it the old way, using paper forms.

Now, where would we be without our mobile phones, computers, and web 2.0. How much work could we do in a blackout?

For me, with the library 2.0 tasks, it's a whole new language, the 'tech speak,' is the biggest hurdle for me; some of the naming conventions just don't make sense sometimes.

#6 More Flikr fun

Mash ups was a lot fun and along the way i kinda lost trak of time. I have had the chance to use mashups before (imagechef) and used these images for our website. They make images a lot more interesting than clipart.

So after having a go at montagr, making a cube with some holiday pics, making a header for my blog (which didn't come out as nice as I would have liked...), I settled for a stamp frame.

Needless to say again, there are a lot of options out there. Now I know where I can create my own calendars/cd covers without fiddling about in Word document!

As I love looking at photos, I think I could spend some time taking a look through all these. Having linked my blog and flikr accounts, it's so easy to add photos - it definitely feels as though I'm learning every time I click on something.

I also added my own photos to Flikr.

Thought I'd add one of my favourite things I like to do whilst on holiday - taking pictures of sunsets/sunrises. As I am not a usually a morning person, I tend to catch more setting than rising suns.

On to mash-ups now!

This is a test post from flickr, a fancy photo sharing thing.

#3 and #4 things

My blogging experience so far has been interesting. I've found myself answering questions about things that I've never used before and enjoyed looking at what other people are doing in their blogs. I'm impressed at how creative people are (or should I re-phrase, and say that I'm feeling very uncreative compared to others?).

There is great potential to exceed the '15 minutes' a day, because there is so much to do...

Time to start Flikr!

I'm trying...

Hi.

After a few attempts (hence the name), I have finally got round to setting up my blog. The hardest part was coming up with a name. So, my blog's name - not so creative.

Oh well, it's all about the learning process.

For now, that is all.

Natasha

How is everyone else going?
